Introduction

Time passes so quickly, doesn’t it? Just like that, I’m nearing the end of my secondary-side NCDCC journey. So I opted to go for the CLT course to (hopefully) become a CLT in the next 2 years! The CLT (Cadet Lieutenant, but you probably know that already) course takes place in late November to early December, for about 3 weeks. But! I did hear there might be changes to the duration…

What would I do if I came back?

That means, I can come back to serve in my unit (hopefully) again! I can train my juniors and prepare them to lead the UG, or even to convince them to become a CLT when they are in Y4. Maybe even try for the HO (Honorary Officer) role in the future…

I do want to make my unit’s drill standard increase. Seriously, it’s really bad. And most are not making an effort to improve. Sigh. At least if I come back, I can not only assist the current Y3s leading (next year’s Y4s), but also correct mistakes they might make when teaching or training juniors.

My hopes

I’ve heard a lot about the course from my own CLTs. The course is rigorous, no doubt, but ultimately, I think it will be fun, and definitely an eye-opening experience. I’m not sure what to expect, but probably lots of drills, marching and lectures. Crossing my fingers and hoping for HTA here. I feel that locations in CDA are quite spaced out, so there’s more marching.

Conclusion

I just want to thank my seniors for shaping my NCDCC journey and training me over the last few years to ultimately prepare myself for this. I’m really looking forward to this. I guess this time, I can wish myself good luck!
